Nahal Kfira
Getting There: From the hotel, travel towards Abu Ghosh and turn right towards Nataf. At the fork in the road, go left and continue for 3 kilometers along a winding road. Park in front of the Polish Jewry Memorial Forest. From there, start walking along a wide, black-marked trail. After about 100 meters, turn left onto a narrow green-marked trail that leads to Nahal Kfira. When you reach the stream, continue walking along the green-marked trail and climb the rocky steps and terraces on the right side until you discover the pool among the fig trees.
When You’re Here: The hiking trail runs through the middle section of Nahal Kfira. In this area, close to Nataf, there are two springs that are a major attraction for hikers, while the stream between them tends to be mostly ignored. The short trail leads to Ein Kfira and back. It is 2km long and suitable for the whole family (the walk takes about an hour). The medium trail leads from Ein Kfira to “Upper” Nahal Kfira and includes a hike along the Patrol Road to Nataf – 4.5km. The long trail also includes visits to Ein Nataf and the Nataf ruins, and is 6.5km long.
