Ein Tayasim

Getting There: From the hotel, drive to Highway 1 and continue to the Harel Interchange. Turn right onto Route 3965 and drive south to Route 395. Then turn right and continue to Kibbutz Tzova. Immediately after entering the kibbutz, turn south onto a dirt road (green markings) and continue for 2.7 kilometers to the spring.

When You’re Here: Start your hike from Har Tayasim. On the summit is a wonderful viewpoint from which you can see the coastal plain, Gush Etzion, Jerusalem, and HaMasrek Reserve. A well-maintained hiking trail with black trail markings leads from the hill to Ein Tayasim. This trail is intended for experienced hikers, as it includes a relatively steep descent to the spring over 800 meters. From there, you can continue to Nahal Sorek, Nahal Refaim, and Nahal Katlav – a walking distance of about 5 more kilometers in each direction along an easy trail.
